Her bound dissertation is now on my bookshelf. She's in good company--the tomes written by Drs. Scooby, Patch, Velma & Pap up there as well.(Funny, I don't seem to have one for the NYKid--I distinctly remember serving on that committee. I must have left it at home on the coffee table, where I read it nightly over a glass of wine.)

It feels indescribably good to finally, finally be finished. There's a reason that this has been something of an inspirational theme song for me these last few years.

Oh, and as for the bound copy of my dissertation, what can I say? Those things are expensive!
