Today the GBOC celebrates its first birthday. Woo hoo! It was a year ago today that our first post -- about clemency in Colorado -- was published by Velma. Conceived at an MSU-SCJ picnic last summer ("We should start a crime blog!" "Oh yeah, that'd be cool!"), our humble blog has grown quite a bit over the last year. Thanks to all of my fellow bloggers, and to our readers for commenting, contributing post ideas, and helping us celebrate one year of bloggerdom!

Congratulations, all! I'm glad you started it - not only because I am interested in crime, but because I get to keep up with all of the Michigan goings-on that I have missed since I left.
