Friday CJ Funnies: Comparative Criminology Edition

I've been a fan of NBC's Parks & Recreation since it premiered last season, mostly because Amy Poehler can do no wrong in my eyes. (Exhibit A: her female-empowerment series aimed at young women called Smart Girls at the Party. Exhibit B: Her awesome Sarah Palin rap, performed while hugely pregnant.)

P&R is about the inner workings of a small-town city government (Pawnee, IN). Amy Poehler plays Leslie Knope, the Deputy Director of the Parks & Recreation Department who is on a mission to turn a huge pit into a city park. In last night's episode, government representatives from Pawnee's sister city -- Baraqua (ha!), Venezuela -- pay a visit to Pawnee. Poehler's SNL bud Fred Armisen (who, Wiki tells me, is half-Venezuelan) plays the Chavez-loving ringleader of the visiting dignitaries, who in this clip attend a Pawnee town hall meeting as part of their tour. Enjoy hearing Armisen's character describe how differently things would go down in his hometown, and keep your fingers crossed that you're never locked up abroad in Venezuela! Happy Friday, all!
